Puthandu @ Spring Mount Public School

Puthandu also known as Puthuvarudam or the Tamil New Year, is the first day of year on the Tamil calendar, traditionally celebrated as a festival by all in Tamil Nādu as the first day of the Tamil month Chittirai. It falls on or about 14 April every year. At Spring Mount Public School we have always ensured that our students are well versed with the Indian culture and traditions. The special assembly conducted today covered all the aspects of the festival in its true sense. The students enjoyed the skit and dance performance.
