Punctuation marks are like the traffic signals of the English language; they tell readers when to pause, when to stop, and how to interpret what they are reading. Without proper punctuation, writing can become confusing and difficult to understand. In today’s assembly the topic was introduced through an interesting role play. The punctuation marks jumped out of the books and had a friendly talk with each other and hung out like a bunch of best buddies. The next assembly the kids will have a follow up quiz on the topic. Learning and assessment can both be fun and frolic.
